Database Administrator

As a PostgreSQL Database Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our PostgreSQL database environment. You will work closely with our development and operations teams to optimise database operations, support API creation and integration, and contribute to the seamless deployment of our applications. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in managing billing operations, rating, revenue assurance, and assurance data. Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create, integrate, and manage APIs for our applications.
  • Perform advanced PostgreSQL database administration tasks, including design, optimization, security, and migration.
  • Implement Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines.
  • Utilize DevOps methodologies and tools, with a preference for Azure or GCP experience.
  • Ingest and manage data using Apache Airflow and PostgreSQL.
  • Manage billing operations, including rating, revenue assurance, and assurance data.
  • Work with MS Azure Data Lake (preferred).
  • Demonstrate familiarity with AI/ML technologies (preferred).

Education, Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Proven experience in PostgreSQL database administration.
  • Deep expertise in advanced PostgreSQL DBA activities.
  • Strong knowledge of database design, optimization, and security.
  • Experience with data ingestion using Apache Airflow and PostgreSQL or any other tool.
  • Proficiency in DevOps methodologies and tools, with Azure or GCP experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML technologies is a plus.
  • Experience in billing operations, rating, revenue assurance, or assurance data management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
  • Familiarity with MS Azure Data Lake (preferred).
