Cyber Security Solution Architect – Pre-Sales

The Security Solutions Architect’s primary responsibility is to act as the subject matter expert on all cyber security solutions, and in particular interpreting diverse requirements and putting together complex solutions and responses for our customers. The Security Solutions Architect is further responsible for defining requirements, tasks, scope and effort (Scope of Work) which are obtained during customer engagement sessions, as well as the subsequent production of proposals including low- and high-level architectures and technical designs in support of the proposed solutions. Additionally, the Security Solutions Architect’s will be involved in the qualification of tenders and bid process for new opportunities generating tender responses. It is important that the Security Solutions Architect should understand the customer’s overall objectives, the cost implications, scalability and performance requirements, risk mitigation and compliance requirements, and undertake detailed research to identify the optimal security solution required to be able to deliver an appropriate designed solution architecture that meets customer business and security requirements. The Security Solutions Architect work closely with the professional services teams who is responsible for implementation, to ensure correct and timeous project delivery, whether by internal resources or external service providers. We further involve the Solution Architects to assist with product and service development, as well as vendor engagements including technical exposure to demonstrate solutions and delivering Proof of Concepts (POCs).

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

The following are key in being successful in this role:
End-to-end knowledge about Information Security / Cyber Security.

An expert in the articulation of all Liquid’s Cyber Security solutions and services.

Drive and work with Sales in acquiring new customers and identifying new opportunities for Cyber Security.

Ability to communicate and write Cyber Security proposals or responses covering complex solutions and services.

Participating in evaluating new product vendor solutions and creating supporting collateral for new products we are adopting.

An expert in understanding the competitive landscape of Cyber Security and positioning the value and benefits of Liquid’s solutions and services.

Understands the Liquid Cyber Security vendor portfolios, commercial models and pricing, rebate programs and positioning the value and benefits of the different solutions and services.

Key Contributions:

Decides which solution is proposed to meet business and security requirements and respond to tenders.

Decides on the best technical security architecture based on customer requirements and budget.

Decides on the security services to best meet customer requirements.

Assist in deciding technical solutions that could become package offerings for customers.

Accountable and responsible for:
Suitable complex proposals and tender responses, including security architectures and technical designs.

Proposing workable and profitable solutions.

Professional proposals and accurate pricing.

Complete proposals.

Ensure that newly proposed solutions are based on market research into new solutions and evolving trends.

Role Responsibilities:

Cyber Security subject matter expert

Ensure that customer requirements are understood, detailed solutions are designed, and responses are prepared.

Understand and apply Cyber Security industry best practices, as well as related methodologies and processes that are needed in support.

Technical and non-technical write-ups aligned to the Cyber Security templates and standards.

Speak to or recommend solutions and services in line to customer requirements.

Responsible to respond to RFI/RFB/RFP tender requirements.

Recommend appropriate architecture standards and implementation of technical Cyber Security solutions.

Present the value proposition of Liquid Cyber Security solutions and services to the customers in a consultative manner, including relevant presentations.

Conduct technical and non-technical consultations with customers.
Facilitate demand creation workshops and assessments with customers.

Provide Cyber Security training to Liquid Cyber Security SSS’s and Key Account Managers (KAM’s).

Stay in touch with the latest leading and evolving Cyber Security technology solutions and services.

Ensure self-development and that relevant Sales and pre-sales vendor certifications are up to date, also technical vendor certifications where so required.

 

Education, Experience & Skills

Qualifications:

Suitable degree in IT, Engineering, Security or related field and Post-Graduate. - Essential

Must have Cyber Security vendor certifications / qualifications, both technical and pre-sales. - Preferred

Must have industry-acknowledged information security or Cyber Security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, SABSA, TOGAF. -Essential

Experience:

6-10 years Essential

Evidence of pre-sales activities and proposal writing, including tender responses.

Demonstrable experience in architecting complex security projects/programmes.

Demonstrate the ability to solve complex, multi-system problems.

Extensive experience in architecting enterprise security solutions.

Experience of working in a close Agile / Scrum team.

In-depth knowledge of IT and/or Telecoms technology architecture domains and how security is applied for networks, endpoints, servers, databases, applications, Cloud, OT, IOT, etc.

Further Knowledge Areas:

An in depth, end-to-end understanding of Cyber Security technologies across all domains. - Essential

Experience in conducting Cyber Security workshops and assessments to identity business and security requirements. -Essential

Experience in research, evaluating and selecting security solutions. - Essential
