Solutions Architect – Microsoft 365 & Modern Workspace

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solutions Architect to lead the design and implementation of Microsoft 365 and Modern Workspace solutions, with a specialized focus on optimizing and integrating Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.). The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Microsoft 365 technologies, a strong understanding of modern workplace practices, and a proven track record of delivering complex solutions that enhance productivity and collaboration. You will be responsible for translating business requirements into robust, scalable, and secure technical architectures, with a particular emphasis on leveraging the full potential of the Microsoft Office suite.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Solution Design & Architecture:
    • Design and architect comprehensive Microsoft 365 and Modern Workspace solutions, focusing on the effective utilization and integration of Microsoft Office applications.
    • Conduct thorough analysis of business requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications and architectural designs.
    • Develop and maintain architectural documentation, including solution diagrams, design specifications, and implementation plans.
    • Evaluate and recommend appropriate Microsoft 365 services and tools to meet business needs, with a strong emphasis on Office-related functionalities.
  • Design solutions that ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability
  • Microsoft Office Expertise:
    • Provide expert-level guidance on the effective use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.) within the broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
    • Develop and implement strategies for automating workflows, enhancing collaboration, and improving productivity through Office integrations.
    • Design solutions that leverage Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI) to extend and customize Office functionalities.
    • Lead initiatives to standardize and optimize the use of Office applications across the organization.
  • Modern Workspace Implementation:
    • Plan and execute the implementation of modern workspace solutions, including device management, collaboration tools, and security policies.
    • Design and implement solutions that support remote and hybrid work environments.
    • Ensure seamless integration of Microsoft 365 services with other enterprise applications.
    • Oversee the migration and deployment of Microsoft 365 workloads.
  • Technical Leadership & Collaboration:
    • Serve as a technical subject matter expert on Microsoft 365 and Modern Workspace solutions.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, developers, and infrastructure engineers, to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest Microsoft 365 technologies and industry best practices.
  • Security & Compliance:
    • Design and implement security solutions that protect Microsoft 365 data and applications.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
    • Conduct security assessments and vulnerability analyses.

Education, Experience & Skills

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect1 or similar role, with a focus on Microsoft 365 and Modern Workspace solutions.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office applications and their integration within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Azure Active Directory.
  • Proficiency in Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI) and its integration with Office applications.
  • Experience with modern workspace technologies, including device management, collaboration tools, and security policies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Microsoft Certifications (MS-100, MS-101, MS-700, etc.) are highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, etc.).
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices.
  • Experience with Microsoft Graph API.
